AmaMagdalena and AmaMelodia are sister ships purpose-built for sailing Colombia’s Magdalena River, representing AmaWaterways’ expansion into one of South America’s most exciting emerging river cruise destinations.


Designed for immersive exploration rather than scale, these ships offer a boutique, culturally rich experience — combining Ama’s signature comfort with authentic Colombian influences.


The ships are virtually identical in design and experience; the difference lies primarily in sailing dates and itinerary scheduling rather than onboard style.
